The American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois is a not-for-profit statewide association of 225 consulting engineering and land surveying firms engaged in the private practice of engineering. Member firms engage in the disciplines of civil, electrical, mechanical, geotechnical, and structural engineering, as well as surveying. ACEC-IL is also a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies with 51 member organizations and over 5000 member firms.

Keith A. Hebeisen has been a trial attorney for almost 25 years. He was President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) in 2005-2006. He was a member of the ITLA committee involved in preparing the briefs filed in Best v. Taylor, a 1997 Illinois Supreme Court case in which the Court held, in an opinion written by Justice McMorrow, that caps on damages are unconstitutional. He has planned, moderated and spoken at numerous continuing legal education programs. He is a past Editor of the Illinois Bar Journal, and he has edited the ITLA Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook for 15 years.
