FutureGen Comes to Illinois

From Mattoon: Governor Rod Blagojevich speaks to city and business leaders following the announcement by the U.S. Department of Energy that Mattoon, Illinois will be the site of the $1.5 billion FutureGen project.  FutureGen is designed to allow for the clean use of coal.  Construction of the project will create hundreds of new jobs and hold the promise of expanding the use of Illinois coal in meeting the nation's energy needs.

Reporting on Teacher Misconduct in Schools

Launching a Statewide Medical Broadband Network

Dilling, et al.  This case concerns whether there was fraudulent misrepresentation of a health issue.  The suit involves a Jane Doe who contracted the HIV virus from her fiancé.  Jane Doe alleges misrepresentation of her fiancé's health status by both her fiancé, who died from AIDS, and his parents.

Chicago Options Associates, Inc., et al.  The background of this case concerns Brian Dowling's attempt to collect financial judgments he won against two defendants, Chicago Options Associates, Inc. and Michael Davis.  In part, the court must decide whether funds Davis deposited earlier with a law firm should be awarded to Dowling as part of the judgment owed him.

Fiscal Year 2008 Budget Address
